Nshima is eaten mostly in southern Africa as a staple food.

Ingredients
150g finely ground maize or corn meal
400ml water
 
Place 5 tablespoons of the meal in a large pot and add the water. Stir continuously on low heat until the mix becomes a smooth porridge. Cover and boil for 10 minutes, Add the remaining maize meal slowly to make a stiff porridge. Stir vigorously until the porridge look like a smooth pastry but moist, cover and simmer for 5 minutes on very low heat. When Serving place large serving spoon in hot water then use to serve nshima potions. Serve with chicken stew.
